Combining a small form factor with superior linear scanning performance, the EV15 high-performance APS scan engine is a decoded version of our best-selling EV10 engine. The EV15 is based on a patented bilinear CMOS sensor with advanced Active Pixel Sensor (APS) technology. Powered by the latest developments in decoding technology, the EV15 delivers extremely high scanning speeds and a large depth of field. As a result, it can read even the most elusive barcodes, including poorly printed, defaced, low-contrast, wide, or high-density ones.

The EV15 scan engine also simplifies electrical integration. 3.3 V low-power operation, ideal for extending mobile app battery life. The standby current is reduced to microamperes, extending the battery life of the host device when the scan engine is not in use.

The EV15 scan engine is free of moving parts and laser diodes, and has a long life unmatched by most laser scanners, with a mean time between failures of more than 250,000 hours. This rugged device can withstand 2000G shock and 50G vibration, and has a wide operating temperature range.
