Fluke introduces the DSX Series for Versiv2 certification testing

While you may still be using a now-discontinued DTX tester and have been serviced and calibrated over the past few years, it's time to say goodbye to these devices, which are a thing of the past. We strongly encourage you to embrace Fluke Networks' Versiv2 certification test products, which are future-proof for faster, more accurate test performance.

With billions of links tested on DTX devices since its launch in 2004, it's safe to say that DTX is definitely a superior product. But it's time to say goodbye!

All service support and calibration for the DTX Series products was discontinued on June 1, 2018.

Q: Why do you have to upgrade?

From the birth of the first copper cable tester DSP in 1994, to the introduction of the DTX series in 2004, to the complete retirement of the DTX series in 2015, the DSX series has become mainstream, and has experienced 21 years of innovation. Neither technically nor servicedly, the old models could not meet today's requirements.

Technically, the DTX series is no longer able to meet the requirements of the industry's latest test technology.

In terms of service, DTX ceased sales in 2015 and completely stopped selling and serving its series of products and accessories in 2018.

Question: My instrument can still be used normally, and there is no need to replace and upgrade. What is the difference between the DTX series and the DSX series?

Without upgrading, many technical indicators cannot be realized.

· DSX supports and has built-in the latest international standards (ISO/TIA) and national standards (GB).

· DSX is more accurate and can be used for Category 5 to Category 8 cable testing.

· DSX has a wider range of testing for new data centers, environmentally-demanding application scenarios (cable immunity to electromagnetic interference), and other applications such as 5G WIFI deployments, smart cities, PoE testing for a wide range of applications in security monitoring, etc.

· DTX, as well as other older versions of testers, are completely unable to support these tests.
