(1) Inverter operating environment requirements: Inverter can only operate safely and reliably in a regular environment. The ambient temperature is -10-+50 °C, and the 6-10kV medium voltage inverter is generally 0-40 °C. Beyond this temperature scale, electronic components are simply damaged and functions simply fail. Pay attention to ventilation and heat dissipation.

For constant torque loads, the high ambient temperature must not exceed 50°C, and for variable torque loads, the high ambient temperature must not exceed 40°C. For the sake of safety, in practical application, it is generally emphasized that the ambient temperature of the inverter device should not exceed 40 °C.

When the ambient temperature does not exceed 40°C, the inverter can output 100% of the additional current continuously; When the ambient temperature is 45°C, the inverter can only output 80% of the current continuously; Although the ambient temperature is only increased by 5°C, the additional output current is reduced by 20%. When the ambient temperature continues to rise to 50°C, the output current of the inverter is only 60%. It can be seen that the operating ambient temperature of the inverter has a great influence on the additional output current. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the ventilation and heat dissipation at the site of the inverter installation.
