Xu Wei, director of the Institute of Building Environment and Energy at the China Academy of Building Research, gave a detailed analysis of the "path to carbon neutrality in buildings" in a recent public lecture, pointing out that China's energy consumption is mainly concentrated in three areas: industry, transportation, and buildings. Among them, the carbon emissions of the construction industry account for about 20% of the carbon emissions of the whole society, and the proportion is still low compared with developed countries. It is worth noting that in the past few years, many technology companies have been vertically engaged in the fields of smart energy and green buildings for many years.

Advantech joins hands with Energy Control to start with smart buildings

iBuilding is Advantech's decades of experience in the use and operation and maintenance of campuses and factories, and has developed a smart building management solution suitable for cross-domain applications (including commercial parks, shopping malls, medical institutions, etc.). Through the unified integration of different subsystems of the building, the interconnection of different subsystems on the same interface is realized, supplemented by artificial intelligence, digital twins, remote operation and maintenance and other technologies, so as to provide better operation and maintenance decision-making assistance and user experience for building managers and users.

In a building energy management and energy consumption analysis solution for a public building, NELC cooperated with Advantech to carry out intelligent monitoring and management of a new 26-story building for a people's court, including energy consumption analysis, fire management, equipment asset management, HVAC management, and computer room management, and at the same time, it needed to realize data privatization.

The solution uses ECU-1051 IoT gateway and edge software WISE-Edgelink, collects data from PLC through MODBUS/TCP protocol, transmits data to the cloud platform through MQQT protocol in 4G mode, and uses HPC-7282 lightweight server to establish privatization deployment, which is safe and reliable.

It is worth mentioning that the integrated ELM equipment life cycle management, BEMS building energy management, Property smart property management, and smart security management realize real-time monitoring and management of building power supply and distribution systems, cold and heat source systems, HVAC systems, elevators, fire protection, water, access control and other systems, realize remote operation and maintenance, reduce operation and maintenance costs, and effectively manage energy consumption equipment to reduce unnecessary energy loss costs.

Mr. Zhu pointed out that Advantech's underlying technology platform helps them implement and implement projects more quickly and accelerate the project delivery cycle. Based on this, many small and medium-sized system integrators can also achieve broader and deeper business development.
