The communication module of PLC is used to complete the communication with other PLCs, other intelligent control equipment or computers. The following is a brief introduction to the FX series communication function shields, adapters and communication modules.

(1) Communication expansion board FX2N-232-BD FX2N-232-BD is an interface board that connects PLC and other equipment with RS-232C transmission standard. Such as personal computers, barcode readers, or printers. It can be installed inside the FX2N. With a large transmission interval of 15 meters and a baud rate of 19,200 bit/s, the PLC operation status can be monitored using special software, and programs can also be easily transmitted from the personal computer to the PLC.

(2) The communication interface module FX2N-232IF FX2N-232IF is connected to the FX2N series PLC, which can complete full-duplex serial communication with other devices equipped with RS232C interface. Such as personal computers, printers, barcode readers, etc. Up to 8 FX2N-232IF modules can be connected to the FX2N series. SEND AND RECEIVE DATA USING THE FROM/TO COMMAND. The large transmission interval is 15 meters, the baud rate is 19200 bit/s, and it occupies 8 I/O points. Data length, serial communication baud rate, etc. can be set by special data registers.

(3) Communication expansion board FX2N-485-BD FX2N-485-BD- used for RS-485 communication method. It can be applied to protocol-free data transfer. The FX2N-485-BD uses RS commands to transfer data between PCs, barcode readers, and printers using the original protocol communication method. The large transmission interval of the transmission is 50 meters, and the baud rate is also 19200 bit/s. Each FX2N series PLC can be equipped with an FX2N-485-BD communication board. In addition to using this communication board to complete communication with the computer, it can also be used to complete the parallel connection between two FX2N series PLCs.

(4) Communication expansion board FX2N-422-BD FX2N-422-BD is used for RS-422 communication. It can be connected to the PLC of the FX2N series and can be used as a port for programming or controlling things. This interface can be used to connect the PLC's external devices, data storage units, and human-machine interfaces to the PLC. With the FX2N-422-BD, you can connect two data storage units (DUs) or one DU series unit and one programming thing, but only one programming thing at a time. Each root unit can only be connected to one FX2N-422-BD and cannot be used with FX2N-485-BD or FX2N-232-BD.

(5) Interface module MSLSECNET/MINI

Using MSLSECNET/MINI interface module, FX series PLC can be used as the local control station of A series PLC to form a distributed control system.
