Introduction: The Rosemount/Rosemount Retractable pH/ORP Sensor 398R, the Rosemount 398R, with its Tefzel™ and titanium chemically resistant construction and patented TUpH™ reference junction, make it an ideal sensor for measuring the pH of demanding process liquids. The sensor is used to measure the pH of acid water strippers, pulp bleaching columns (using chlorine dioxide), and process fluids containing various organic solvents.

Thanks to its superior chemical resistance, the sensor is able to withstand applications containing chlorine dioxide as well as a wide range of organic solvents and oxidants
The TUpH reference electrode technology ensures a long lifetime of the sensor in processes prone to overlay, fouling, and poisoning, thus minimizing the need for sensor maintenance
The use of a helical reference path that prevents poisoning of the reference electrode and anti-cracking glass maximize the life of the sensor
