SMC Tianjin Plant held a groundbreaking ceremony

On August 18, SMC Tianjin Factory held a groundbreaking ceremony, which was attended by Feng Weihua, Secretary of Tianjin Beichen District Party Committee, Li Hongdong, Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and Director of the Office of the District Party Committee, Pang Lei, Deputy District Mayor, and leaders of Beichen Development Zone and other leaders attended the groundbreaking ceremony and inspected SMC Tianjin Factory.

Ma Qinghai, General Manager of SMC China, Dr. Zhao Tong, Honorary Chairman and Chief Consultant of SMC China, Wang Chunyang, Deputy General Manager of SMC China, Yang Baidong, Deputy General Manager of SMC (Tianjin) Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Li Youlin, and other leaders and some employees attended the ceremony.

After the morning ceremony, Ma Qinghai, General Manager of SMC China, Dr. Zhao Tong, Employee Representative of SMC (Tianjin) Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Honorary Chairman and Chief Consultant of SMC China, and Feng Weihua, Secretary of Beichen District Party Committee, delivered speeches to express their congratulations.

General Manager Ma Qinghai first expressed his gratitude to government leaders at all levels, partners and SMC's colleagues for ensuring the construction of the Tianjin factory during the epidemic, which gave SMC's business in Tianjin and China a foundation for rapid development. Secondly, Mr. Ma explained the necessity and urgency of the construction and commissioning of the Tianjin factory, and expressed the company's expectations for the Tianjin factory. He hoped that SMC Tianjin colleagues would make persistent efforts, on the basis of epidemic prevention, carry forward SMC's enterprise spirit of brave responsibility, hard work and continuous challenge, build SMC Tianjin factory into SMC's global intelligent manufacturing benchmark factory, and build SMC Tianjin into an excellent enterprise in Tianjin's high-end manufacturing industry!

Feng Weihua, Secretary of the District Party Committee, congratulated SMC Tianjin Manufacturing Co., Ltd. on behalf of the Beichen District Party Committee and the District Government. He said that the smooth start of SMC Tianjin is an important symbol of Beichen's deep integration into the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, actively attracting high-quality projects in the capital, expanding opening up, and promoting the high-quality development of foreign investment and foreign trade. This will effectively promote the transformation of the region's industries to high-end, and drive more high-end intelligent manufacturing enterprises to accelerate their agglomeration, so as to further promote the transformation of "Made in Beichen" to "Created by Beichen" and "Industrial Zone" to "Strong Industrial Zone". At the same time, it is hoped that SMC will continue to give full play to its own advantages, further expand the field of cooperation with Beichen District, improve the level of cooperation, and take root and develop in Beichen District.

Dr. Zhao Tong recalled the original intention of SMC to start its business in Beijing and Tianjin, and expressed his gratitude to the leaders of Beichen District and the Development Zone for their guidance and help. The employee representatives of SMC (Tianjin) Manufacturing Co., Ltd. also shared the achievements and experiences in the construction process of Tianjin precision casting workshop, and promised to continue to work hard in the continuous construction and work of Tianjin factory in the future, and work with colleagues to build the workshop into a simple, smooth, clean and efficient model, and contribute the greatest energy to the growth of SMC Tianjin.

After the speech, the leaders of Beichen District and SMC jointly launched SMC Tianjin precision casting equipment, and the die-casting ignition ceremony was successfully completed. This also marks the official start of SMC's Tianjin plant. Subsequently, General Manager Ma Qinghai accompanied the leaders of Beichen District to inspect the precision casting, precision machining and other workshops of the Tianjin factory, as well as supporting facilities such as social housing.

During the period, Wang Chunyang, Deputy General Manager of SMC China, Li Youlin, Deputy General Manager of SMC Tianjin Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and other leaders held a toasting ceremony with employees.

The construction of the first and second phases of SMC's Tianjin plant has come to an end, and some workshops have started production as planned. We believe that from the strategic perspective of SMC's BCP and SDGs, SMC's Tianjin plant will have very rare development opportunities and bright prospects. At the same time, with the continuous deepening of factory construction, SMC will make greater contributions to the employment, taxation, industrial progress and social development of Tianjin Beichen!
