The new IO-Link I/O modules make it easy and cost-effective to add robust digital inputs and outputs to ifm's IO-Link master modules for use in the field.
●Through IO-Link and binary signal acquisition, the distributed switching digital output is completed
● Add up to 20 digital inputs and outputs to the IO-Link master module
●It is suitable for industrial use and can be supplied with new types for hygienic environments
●The output current of each power channel is up to 1.8A
●The input signal is preprocessed by the digital input filter
Inputs and outputs are switched decentrally via IO-Link
Typical missions include distributed switching of loads and actuators, or acquisition and processing of digital signals. For this purpose, the device has six or ten M12 ports, each with two digital inputs or outputs.
use
The module is available in two designs: the orange field module of the Cooling Resistant Series is oil and coolant resistant and is suitable for general industrial use. Thanks to the special housing material, the grey modules are ideal for hygiene and food use. It has a degree of protection up to IP 68 / IP 69K.
Input module
These modules can interface with up to 20 conventional sensors. With the unshielded M12 connection cable, IO-Link transmits signals to any IO-Link master or PLC. A special feature of the module is that the input signal can be pre-processed by different filters before it is transmitted via IO-Link. The filters that can be used include: denoising filter (pressing the noise signal), stretching filter (lengthening the signal), and inverting filter. This ensures reliable detection of signals with a minimum length of 1.5 ms.
The distributed arrangement of the modules reduces cabling costs and eliminates the need for messy cabling wiring. In contrast to bus architectures, IO-Link does not require any equipment or addressing, thus simplifying the installation. Pins 2 and 4 of each M12 socket are equipped as binary inputs. As a result, dual sensors can be connected without any problems. The inputs are fully protected against overload and short circuits.
Output module
The output is powered by two independent electrically blocked power supplies. The M12 socket on the left is powered by pins 1 and 3 of the power plug, and the M12 socket on the right is powered by pins 2 and 4. Both power supplies can support a maximum 1.8A load. The output current is distributed to the output according to the connected load, and the total current per channel is limited to 1.8A.

Precautions for the selection of level transmitters – ifm
The differential pressure transmitter is a transmitter that measures the pressure difference between the two ends of the transmitter, and outputs a standard signal (such as 4-20mA, 1-5V). The difference between the differential pressure transmitter and the general pressure transmitter is that they have 2 pressure interfaces, and the differential pressure transmitter is generally divided into positive pressure end and negative pressure end.

Attention to the selection of industrial sensors – ifm
1. According to the measurement object and measurement environment
In order to carry out a detailed measurement operation, it is necessary to consider the principle of the sensor first, which needs to analyze many factors before confirmation. Because, even if the same physical quantity is measured, there are sensors with multiple principles to choose from.

Steps to install a dynamic torque sensor – ifm
1. According to the connection form of the shaft and the length of the dynamic torque sensor, confirm the interval between the prime mover and the load, adjust the separation of the axis of the prime mover and the load relative to the reference plane, so that the coaxiality of their axis is less than Φ 0.03mm, and fix the prime mover and the load on the reference plane.

How ifm inductive sensors work
How an inductive sensor works: An inductive sensor consists of three parts: an oscillator, a switching circuit, and an amplified output circuit. The oscillator produces an alternating magnetic field. When a metal target approaches this magnetic field and reaches the sensing distance, eddy currents are generated within the metal target, resulting in ...

Structural classification of UV sensors
1. Spherical cathode structure:
In order to fully avoid the tip effect and make the photoelectron emission more stable and uniform, it is necessary to fix the operating area on the cathode, because the ultraviolet tube relies on photoelectron emission and gas multiplication to complete the conversion of the optical signal into an electrical signal and amplify it.
