Schmersa Innovation Cloud Seminar in Germany for monitoring large-scale conveyor systems
At SOLIDS 2020, Schmersa Group Germany will present the new HDS series of switches specially planned for material handling careers. The HDS series of heavy-duty switches combines a range of functions on a single channel, making them suitable for a wide range of applications. In addition, the Hitachi channel has received various international certifications, including CE, UL, CCC (EAC, ATEX, IECEx, INMETRO are in preparation).
The new channel is based on the concept of standardised housings and is available in thermoset plastic and cast iron housing versions. The corrosion-resistant shell of the plastic makes it particularly suitable for port logistics and loading and unloading operations, as well as for the processing of fertilizers, minerals and phosphates in the agricultural sector. The robust cast iron version is suitable for the excavation of heavy metal ores in open pit mines, the excavation and transportation of bulk materials.
The functional range can be divided into two basic bodies: emergency stop rope pull switch and position monitoring. The "position monitoring" switch body can be flexibly combined with a series of actuators to complete the position monitoring of mobile machinery and equipment components.
Another advantage of the Hitachi channel is that all basic body switches can be equipped with a Dupline two-wire bus module (address coding function) as an option, and can be directly wired and used, so that the switches can be connected and integrated in series quickly and easily. Both the Dupline Standard Module or the Dupline Safety Module are two-wire bus systems and are the solid choice for ambitions for long-distance signal transmission.
Cloud Discussion on Conveyor System Monitoring
"At SOLIDS 2020, Schmersa Germany will present for the first time a cloud-based seminar for monitoring switchgear in conveyor systems. Germany Schmersa E-stop rope pull switch and conveyor belt anti-mistracking switch are equipped with wireless LAN marking, so that all switching operations can be transmitted to the cloud. They can then be controlled online in real time via a web browser, PC or smartphone. Udo Skin, Professional Manager of Schmersal Heavy Industries, explains.
Schmersal Group Germany offers a one-stop solution for conveyor safety, not only for the protection of personnel, but also for the process maintenance of the conveyor system and the real-time quality control of bulk data during conveyor operation.
Users in the mining industry, the cement and steel professions, bulk materials and agriculture can benefit from a single source of systems and solutions from Schmersa Germany, as well as a range of consulting and other related services worldwide.
Due to the global coronavirus pandemic, SOLODS 2020 in Germany, originally scheduled for April 1-2, has been postponed to June 24-25, 2020.
