On October 24, 2019, the Schmersal Group, the international market leader in the field of machinery safety, acquired omniconenginering GmbH in Saarland, Germany.
omnicon is a service provider that provides consulting services on safety issues to medium-sized and large DAX companies in Germany, ensuring that machines comply with EU machine safety rules, and providing technical support services.
The engineering company, which employs around 15 people, will continue to operate under its current name as a member of the Schmersal Group. Its founder, Friedhelm Nowak, will also continue to serve as president of the company.
The acquisition of omniconenginering GmbH is part of our expansion strategy to achieve greater market penetration for our tec.nicum safety technology division.
