1. Server
Server refers to a high-performance computer that runs the corresponding application software in the network environment and provides online users with shared information resources and various services. It has many similarities with ordinary computers, such as CPU, memory, hard disk, various buses, etc., with high-speed computing power, long-term reliability, strong external data throughput and other characteristics, mainly used for computing analysis, data storage and other functions.
There are types of servers, such as tower servers, rack servers, and blade servers. The use of redundancy technology, system backup, online diagnosis technology, fault pre-alarm technology, memory error correction technology, hot swap technology and remote diagnosis technology, etc., so that the vast majority of faults can be repaired in a timely manner without downtime, with strong manageability.
2. Workstation
Workstation is a kind of high-performance computer based on ordinary computer and distributed network computing, mainly oriented to professional application fields, with powerful data computing and graphics and image processing capabilities, and designed and developed to meet the needs of engineering design, animation production, scientific research, software development, financial management, information services, simulation and other professional fields. That is, a work computer, can be called a workstation.
Based on their size and portability, workstations can be divided into desktop workstations and mobile workstations. Desktop workstations are similar to desktop computers in that they are large but powerful, making them suitable for professional users. A mobile workstation is a high-performance notebook computer with a higher hardware configuration and overall performance than a regular notebook computer.
3. Industrial computer
Industrial computer is a computer specially designed for industrial sites, with CPU, hard disk, memory, I/O interface, operating system, computing power, human-machine interface and other attributes and characteristics, is widely used in industrial automation, medical, environmental protection, intelligent transportation, communications, monitoring, CNC machine tools, finance and other fields.
Compared with ordinary computers, industrial computers are more likely to be used uninterrupted for a long time in complex environments. Therefore, industrial control has more stringent requirements for easy maintenance, heat dissipation, dustproof, product cycle, size, etc. In daily life, common intelligent equipment such as ATMs, self-service terminals for government services, and self-service ticket vending machines all use industrial computers as control systems.

2. The working environment and configuration requirements are different
