The 3RV2 circuit breaker is a compact current-limiting motor start-up protection circuit breaker for the opening and closing of three-phase induction motors (up to 55 kW at 400 V AC) and other loads (rated up to 100 A).
The 3RV2 circuit breaker is suitable for use in any kind of climate and should be used in the normal operating environment of enclosed spaces (e.g. no dust, corrosive or harmful gases). When installed in dusty and wet places, a suitable protective cover is required.
The 3RV2 circuit breaker can be fed from the top or bottom.
The allowable ambient temperature, maximum breaking capacity, tripping current, and other conditions of the circuit breaker refer to the specific technical data and tripping characteristic curves in this chapter.
The 3RV2 circuit breaker can be used in IT systems (IT networks), but different short-circuit breaking capacities in IT systems should be taken into account.
Even for motors with the same rated power, the operating current, starting current, and peak current are different due to the instantaneous peak current. Therefore, the motor rating in the selection table can only represent the guidance data, and the actual rating data and starting data of the motor are very important for selecting the right circuit breaker.
