Daily maintenance of industrial computer:
1. Chassis
The chassis includes an industrial power supply, a passive baseplate, and a fan. Industrial control power supply: it is for N hours of uninterrupted boot service, so its performance is better, the main attention is to minimize the entry of dust, to prevent dust from affecting the operation of the fan. To prevent instantaneous power outages, instantaneous power outages and sudden calls often produce an instantaneous extremely high voltage, which is likely to "burn out" the computer, and voltage fluctuations (too low or too high) will also cause damage to the computer. Therefore, a power supply should be provided as much as possible. In addition, it should also be anti-static and lightning protection.
Passive base plate: It provides power for all kinds of boards including cards, graphics cards, sound cards, network cards, etc., and its daily maintenance should pay attention to three points: you can not dial the board card when the base plate is electrified, and you should not use too much force when inserting the base plate, too large, and when cleaning the bottom plate with alcohol, you should pay attention to prevent the tool from scratching the bottom plate.
Dust must not accumulate in the slot, otherwise it will cause poor contact or even a short circuit. Whether the metal feet in the slot are aligned and whether they are bent, otherwise the operation of the board in the system will be affected, and various phenomena such as boot not being displayed, the board card cannot be found, and crashing will occur. Fan: The fan in the industrial control box is specially designed for the industrial computer, which blows air into the case to reduce the temperature in the case. It is important to note that the power supply is connected to the plug and the filter on the outside of the fan should be cleaned regularly (once a month) to prevent excessive dust from entering the chassis.
2. Hard disks, optical drives, and floppy drives
Hard disk: Do not disassemble the hard disk at will, avoid vibration and squeezing. Try not to power off your computer while the hard drive is running, as an abrupt shutdown will cause damage to the hard drive tracks and data loss. Do not touch the jumper on the hard drive. When handling, be sure to pack it in an antistatic plastic bag or fix it with a shockproof material such as a sponge, and check for viruses frequently to prevent erosion. When there are energy-saving functions in the operating system, it should be used as reasonably as possible to prolong the service life of the hard disk.
Optical drive: Do not open the optical drive door at will in use, do not use damaged or pirated discs, prevent dust from entering the optical drive, and do not vibrate, distort or beat the optical drive during use. The data cable should be connected smoothly to ensure that the optical drive is read smoothly.
Floppy drive: Do not put bad disks and toxic disks into the floppy drive, and do not use inferior and moldy floppy disks to prevent scratching the magnetic head. When the floppy drive is reading and writing to the disk (the floppy drive indicator light is on), do not forcibly remove the disk to prevent damage to the head or offset the head, resulting in the failure to read and write normally.
3. Motherboard (card) industrial computer motherboard is designed for long-term operation in a special environment of high and low temperature, and it should be noted in its use that it cannot be plugged in and out (memory module, mouse and keyboard behind the board), and live plug and dial will cause damage to the jack, can not be used, and even damage the motherboard. The jumper on the motherboard should not jump casually, you should check the manual or user manual, otherwise it will cause damage due to the different voltage settings of different models of motherboards.
The dust of the motherboard should be cleaned regularly, not with alcohol or water, and the dust should be sucked or blown off with a dry brush, vacuum cleaner or leather tiger. Keep the memory slots on the motherboard clean and free of broken or crooked feet. The gold finger inserted into the passive baseplate under the motherboard should be clean, and plugged in tightly and in place on the baseboard.
4. Various boards (graphics card, sound card, network card, etc.)
