Advantech, a large industrial computer manufacturer, announced that its self-integration and operating income reached 5.121 billion yuan in June this year, an increase of 13.73% month-on-month and 9.69% year-on-year, changing a new record in history. The consolidated operating income in the second quarter was 14.018 billion yuan, an increase of 24.36% quarter-on-quarter and 0.3% year-on-year, changing the second highest in history. In total, the consolidated operating income in the first half of the year was 25.29 billion yuan, down 3.75% year-on-year, still the second highest in the current period.
Advantech indicated that in June, Chinese mainland, United States and ASEAN regions were the strongest performers. From the perspective of the work group, except for the intelligent service work group, the development of mechanical energy is slightly slower and the single-digit annual growth rate is paid, the other work groups are all rebounding in all directions, and the double-digit annual growth rate is paid.
In the first half of the year, Advantech showed that Taiwan, Japan and ASEAN all posted double-digit annual growth rates in operating revenue, while Chinese mainland recovered its annual growth, while United States, Europe and the United States still declined. Advantech previously estimated that the consolidated operating income in the second quarter is expected to increase by about 20-25% quarter-on-quarter, the profit margin is estimated to be 37-39% compared to the first quarter, and the profit margin is estimated to increase to 16.5-18.5%. Chairman Liu Kezhen said that the operating income in the second quarter is expected to be almost the next highest level compared with the same period last year, and the specific results will meet the high standards of the overall target segment, and the main performance will be in line with expectations.
Looking ahead to the third quarter, Advantech has previously said that the situation is still vague, and it is estimated that under a good scenario, the annual operating income can achieve a single-digit growth, and if it is weak, it is likely to experience a single-digit decline. However, Liu Kezhen feels that although the demand in the European and United States markets has declined due to the pneumonia epidemic, the key undertaking of B2B business processes by enterprises requires the most delayed and not easy to fade, and the view on the future trend is not negative.
