Advantech recently released a new GPU edge computing product, the MIC-770V3 modular industrial computer, which can be used with the i-Module series GPU expansion module MIC-75M20. This high-performance product is compatible with NVIDIA L4 Tensor Core GPUs, supporting 7,424 CUDA cores and 24GB of GDDR6 GPU memory while consuming only 72W. In addition, the product has been validated by NVIDIA®L4 GPUs NVQual for multiple scenarios such as smart factories, autonomous driving, automated optical inspection (AOI), AI prediction for medical devices, smart city surveillance, and transportation.
High-performance, compact design with flexible scalability
The MIC-770 V3 is powered by the latest 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i processors and is based on the open-source x86 platform, which accelerates the development of GPU-accelerated solutions.
By using the MIC-75M20, a 2-socket i-Module expansion module, it is compatible with NVIDIA L4 Tensor Core GPUs, with features such as small size, energy saving, single socket, and 72W low power consumption. These features make it ideal for AI edge computing and inference, providing energy-efficient general-purpose acceleration for AI inference computing, imaging, and graphics applications, enabling enterprises to deploy in the cloud, at the edge, and in space-constrained environments.
Innovative modular design, suitable for a variety of industry applications
The MIC-770 V3 features a modular design with enhanced features and rich I/O interfaces on the front panel for enhanced functionality.
When used for autonomous driving, the PCIE-1674 vision capture card can be connected to 4 cameras. Similarly, 4 GbE Flex I/O (98910770301) ports are connected to the lidar system, and after the distance and shape of objects in the environment are detected, the data is passed to the NVIDIA L4 GPU, enabling flexible 3D model drawing based on graph analysis.
Remote management for seamless edge AI computing
The MIC-770 V3 supports the iBMC 1.2 edge intelligence solution to simplify remote system and edge device management. By leveraging the remote out-of-band (OOB) management technology of iBMC hardware, Advantech's WISE-DeviceOn solution can be used for both in-band and out-of-band management systems, truly enabling comprehensive access, configuration, monitoring, and analysis control of IoT network assets on a single centralized platform. In addition, even if a software or operating system fails, enterprise IT and OT managers can remotely control power (via reset/force shutdown/power-up/power-off, etc.), perform remote system recovery via Acronis or hardware, trigger SSD recovery, and check operational status. These features can resolve 90% of system failures without the need for on-site maintenance personnel, significantly reducing system downtime and operating costs.
Professional thermal design, supporting stable and reliable GPU computing
The MIC-770 V3 is powered by NVIDIA L4 GPUs, and the machine operates in harsh environments from 0 to 40°C. At temperatures up to 40°C, the dedicated server-grade air duct design improves the heat dissipation of GPU operation, keeping the GPU operating temperature below 70.5°C to ensure excellent performance and clock frequency dwelling. All in all, the MIC-770 V3 provides 30.3 TFLOPs of computing power for device operation with a power consumption of only 72W.
Key features:
• Compatible with NVIDIA L4 Tensor Core GPUs certified by NVIDIA
• Powerful performance with 7,424 CUDA GPU architectures, 30.3 TFLOPS, 24GB GDDR6 GPU memory, and only 72W power consumption for edge AI and graphics programs
• Intel 12th Gen Core™i9/i7/i5/i3 processor (LGA 1700)
• High-performance solution for compact and rugged design, supporting Flex I/O, iDoor expansion modules
•Support Advantech's iBMC 1.2 remote management solution (WISE-DeviceOn)
• Suitable for installation in environments with limited space and harsh outdoor environments
