On March 3, Beijing time, a study published in "Nature - Composition" for the first time applied data-driven automatic composition, robot-assisted controllable composition, and machine learning to the composition of colloidal nanocrystalline (such as perovskite) materials, exploring and constructing a "machine scientist" channel, which is expected to liberate scientific researchers from traditional trial-and-error experiments and labor-intensive characterization, gather scientific innovation, and complete the digital intelligent manufacturing of nanocrystalline materials.

  In this research project, the "six-axis manipulator" that assists scientists in doing deep trial-and-error experiments is a product of AUBO-i5 collaborative robot.

The seminar was completed by Yu Xuefeng, Zhao Haitao's team from the Material Interface Research Center of Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jiang Jun from the University of Science and Technology of China, and Yin Zongyou from the National University of Australia. Shenzhen Advanced Institute is the first communication unit. Associate researcher Zhao Haitao, Professor Jiang Jun, associate professor Yin Zongyou, and researcher Yu Xuefeng are the corresponding authors of the article. Zhao Haitao, Chen Wei, Huang Hao of Shenzhen Advanced Institute, and Sun Zhehao of Australia National University are the first authors of the article.

In the review, the reviewer pointed out that "Zhao Haitao et al. built a messy system composed of machine learning, robotic automation, and big data, and further used it to complete the composition and reverse composition of nanocrystals." This work successfully combined automation and machine learning to accomplish more efficient colloidal nanocrystalline composition, and reported its high-throughput experimental big data in detail. ”
