Most of the damage of the inverter module is due to the damage of the driving electric, which causes the two switching devices on one bridge arm to be turned on at the same time. Inverter inverter power module damage is a common problem in other inverter equipment such as vector inverter or energy-saving inverter, as long as the root cause of the damage is found, and the possibility of damage is eliminated at the beginning, the inverter module can be replaced, otherwise the new module will be damaged again.
1. Judgment
The inverter power module has IGBT, IPM, etc., check whether the appearance has been exploded, and whether the terminal and the connected printed board can have ablation traces. Use a multimeter to check whether C-E, G-C, G-E can be passed, or use a multimeter to measure whether the resistance of P to U, V, W and N to U, V, W can not be differentiated, and whether the resistance of the control pole of each drive rate device to U, V, W, P, N can be differentiated, so as to judge which power device is damaged.
Second, the cause of the damage is found
(1) The quality of the device itself is not good.
(2) The external load has severe overcurrent and unbalanced, the winding resistance of a certain phase of the motor is short to the ground, and the internal winding resistance of one phase is short, the load is mechanically stuck, the phase breakdown, and the output wire is short or short to the ground.
(3) The load is connected to the capacitor, or the capacitance to the ground is too large due to improper wiring, so that the power tube has an impulse current.
(4) The user's power grid voltage is too high, or there is a strong instantaneous overvoltage, resulting in overvoltage damage.
(5) The overvoltage receiving power of the power switch tube in the machine is bad, and the IGBT is damaged due to the ineffective overvoltage, as shown in the figure below.
(6) Due to the aging of the filter capacitor, the capacity is reduced or the internal inductance becomes larger, and the overvoltage receiving ability of the bus is reduced, resulting in the overvoltage on the bus being too high and damaging the IGBT. Generally, the overvoltage on the bus during operation is changed by the inductance energy storage of the bus back when the inverter switching device is pulsed off.
(7) The pre-stage optoelectronic isolation device of IGBT or IPM power device also breaks down due to breakdown, or ignition breakdown occurs due to dust and moisture in the printed board isolation device, resulting in damage to IGBT and IPM.
(8) Improper operation, or defects in the product design software, causing the upper and lower power switching devices to be turned on at the same time in the interference and unchanging environment such as boot and shutdown.
(9) Lightning strikes, water leakage intrusion in Hengyu, foreign objects entering, and accidental collisions by confiscating personnel.
(10) The filter capacitor is replaced by maintenance, because the quality of the capacitor is not good, or the wire connected to the capacitor is longer than the original, so that the inductance is added, and the overvoltage amplitude of the bus is increased.
(11) The pre-rectifier bridge is damaged, because the pre-stage of the main power supply enters the exchange power, resulting in IGBT and IPM damage.
(12) Repair and change the power module, because there is no electrostatic protection method, the IGBT is damaged during the welding operation. Or due to poor treatment of heat dissipation, fastening, insulation, etc. in the patching, resulting in short-term use and damage.
(13) The use of IGBT in parallel does not consider the divergence of model and batch number when changing, resulting in uneven current and damage of each parallel component.
