Automation specialist Pierz is now offering a new service, the Machinery Safety Assessment (MSE), to assess the machinery safety of existing machines. Data reports provide operators with a simple and quick overview of the safety and compliance status of their machines. Pilz offers a particularly effective complement to a comprehensive risk assessment or plant assessment in its service portfolio.
The Machinery Safety Assessment service includes an on-site assessment of machinery in a production plant in accordance with applicable safety and compliance requirements. In doing so, Pilz takes into account not only the standards and directives applicable to the location or destination of the machine, but also the customer's specific internal safety regulations according to the customer's requirements. As a result, operators can see at a glance the current compliance status of each plant or machine in a clear, comprehensive software-based data report. Pilz will provide the customer with a list of recommended measures (in order of priority) to ensure the safety of the plant. When implementing these measures, Pilz can provide support on request.
The "Machinery Safety Assessment" is aimed at operators who want to effectively assess the safety and compliance of their existing machinery for comprehensive personnel and liability protection. A quick and concise machinery safety assessment by Pilz experts is also suitable for inspections of potential retrofit measures or purchased machinery.
Two levels of technical detail
Pilz offers two levels of detail for its "Machinery Safety Assessment" according to the customer's individual requirements. Level 1 checks compliance with the security posture and lists recommended actions to mitigate risks, while Level 2 also includes an assessment and review of documents on key risks. If required, Pilz experts will generate a compliance overview based on specific company specifications, assess the highest performance level PLr achievable by the tested sub-functions, and provide a cost estimate for potential upgrades as an option. If an operator uses a single machine type at multiple locations, the evaluation results of one machine can be transferred to a similar machine. As a result, operators can obtain a very effective compliance assessment with the "Machinery Safety Assessment".

Peel Magnetic Relays – Difference Between Voltage Relays and Current Relays
1. The difference between the structure of current relay and voltage relay
The main thing is that the coils are different.
The coil of the current relay is connected in series with the load to reflect the load current, so its coil turns are small and the wire is thick, so that the voltage drop when passing through the current is very small, and it will not affect the load circuit.
