Recently, the "Tsinghua Wuxi Institute-Siemens Green and Low-Carbon Forum" was held in Wuxi, sponsored by Siemens and Wuxi Institute of Applied Technology of Tsinghua University, and guided by Wuxi Development and Reform Committee, Science and Technology Bureau, Science and Technology Association, and Binhu District People's Government.

　　A number of government leaders of Wuxi City, Zheng Yongping, Dean of Wuxi Institute of Applied Technology of Tsinghua University, Executive Vice President of Siemens (China) Co., Ltd., General Manager of Siemens Aixianda China, Dr. Zhu Xiaoxun, President of Siemens China Research Institute, and representatives of various industrial parks and more than 30 local key enterprises in Wuxi attended the meeting. The forum was chaired by Ma Jun, vice president of the Wuxi Research Institute of Tsinghua University.

With the theme of green and low-carbon, the forum aims to fully explore the integrated scientific research advantages and resources of Tsinghua University, the world's leading enterprises represented by Siemens, Wuxi Industrial Park and local key enterprises in the field of carbon neutrality and carbon peaking.

Dr. Zhu Xiaoxun pointed out that Siemens, as a technology company leading the digital transformation of industrial enterprises, is committed to empowering enterprises to achieve green and low-carbon upgrading with digital twin technology as the center. At the same time, Siemens also attaches great importance to industry-university-research collaboration, and has always adhered to a strategic partnership with Tsinghua University, and the two sides have carried out close cooperation in multiple technology fields, and established joint laboratories in low-carbon, industrial artificial intelligence and other fields. Siemens attaches great importance to cooperation with local governments and enterprises, and expects to verify and implement advanced technologies and contribute to China's "dual carbon" strategy.

Zheng Yongping said at the meeting that in the new development stage, it is the unshirkable responsibility of all walks of life to do a good job in carbon neutrality. As a new scientific research institute jointly built by Tsinghua University and Wuxi City, Tsinghua Wuxi Institute has always been guided by the major needs of the country and profession, closely combined with Wuxi's development strategy and industrial characteristics, and has introduced and cultivated a group of scientific research talents and teams in the fields of integrated circuits, gas turbines, and dual-carbon technologies, relying on the discipline and talent advantages of Tsinghua University. This time, Tsinghua Wuxi Institute, together with the world's advanced enterprises represented by Siemens and key local enterprises in Wuxi, focused on the advantages and resources in the field of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, made concerted efforts to transform the "key variables" of scientific and technological innovation into the "maximum increment" of high-quality development, and actively explored effective paths to help Wuxi accelerate its progress towards the dual carbon goal.

At the forum, a number of experts and business leaders shared four topics on the external environment change and response of enterprises in the context of carbon neutrality, credible carbon trading and carbon management research based on the Internet of Things + blockchain, new energy vehicle monitoring information and its shared application platform, and solid waste disposal to help carbon reduction technology.
