From August 12 to 14, 2022, the 2022 World Conference on Collaborative Robot Skills and Use (Cobot 2022) was held in Zibo City, hosted by Zibo Municipal People's Government, AUBO (Beijing) Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. and Taylor & Francis World Publishing Group of United Kingdom, and organized by Linzi District People's Government and AUBO (Shandong) Intelligent Robot Co., Ltd.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Ni Guangnan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Mr. Wei Hongxing, chairman of AUBO (Beijing) Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. and executive chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Cobot2022 World Conference, and Comrade Ma Xiaolei, deputy secretary of the CPC Zibo Municipal Committee and mayor, delivered speeches on stage.
Academician Ni Guangnan said in his speech that the 2022 World Conference on Collaborative Robot Skills and Use is the first collaborative robot academic communication conference in China, and the convening of this conference will inject new vitality into the development of the collaborative robot industry. In recent years, collaborative robots have developed rapidly in China and have now become the largest collaborative robot shopping mall.
According to statistics, in 2021, the sales volume of collaborative robots in China will exceed 15,000 units, with a growth rate of more than 100%, and the scale of shopping malls will account for more than 1\3 of the scale of global shopping malls.
In the field of collaborative robots, China will drive the rhythm of global shopping malls. In terms of collaborative robots, China has grasped many advantages such as key center skills, key center parts production, super-large-scale shopping malls and ultra-low cost. The spread of collaborative robots has begun to have a significant impact on China's industrial digitalization, intelligence and the construction of a modern digital economic system. Collaborative robots are the breakthrough of China's curve overtaking, and China's skills do not have advantages in the field of traditional industrial robots, while China's strength has reached the world's leading level in the relatively emerging field of intelligent robots. In September 2020, China issued the "Guiding Opinions on Expanding Strategic Emerging Industries to Invest in Cultivating and Expanding New Growth Points", which proposed to "implement pilot demonstrations of intelligent manufacturing and intelligent production, and further strengthen the policy support in the field of robots".
The development of robots in China is congenitally lagging behind Europe, America and Japan, although it is currently growing rapidly, it is still facing great pressure, on the one hand, Japan and Europe continue to lead in the industry, on the other hand, the re-emergence of robots in United States. If China's robot industry wants to achieve corner overtaking, it is necessary to study and judge the trend of industrial development, combine it with the needs of shopping malls, and continuously deepen the integration of many advanced skills such as big data, cloud accounting, artificial intelligence, etc., especially pay attention to talent training. Last year, AUBO and Taylor & Francis World Publishing Group founded the world's first collaborative robot world academic journal, which should be an exciting work in China's collaborative robot industry, because it will directly benefit the development of collaborative robot academia, the skill innovation of the entire industry, and the talent training of the robot industry.
Wei Hongxing, Chairman of AUBO (Beijing) Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. and Executive Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Cobot2022 World Conference, first expressed his gratitude to the Zibo Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government for their strong support to this conference. In 2021, AUBO and Taylor & Francis Publishing Group launched the Cobot World Journal, and for more than a year, Cobot has received many high-quality submissions, which are now being published. In addition to collaborative robots, the scale of Cobot also includes special robots, composite robots, bionic robots, big data, cloud accounting, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, neural networks and accounting intelligence, etc., which widely absorb hot topics related to robotics and intelligent manufacturing. It is hoped that this conference can collide with Zibo's universities, research institutes and enterprises, and inject new vitality into Zibo's robotics industry and academia.
