The 103SR Series Hall-effect position sensor assemblies are sealed in aluminum or stainless steel threaded housings and meet NEMA requirements for 3R, 3R, 3S, 4, 4X (stainless steel housings), 12, and 13. They respond to the magnetic field provided by a permanent magnet or electromagnet. These rugged, non-contact sensing products use versatile, reliable Hall-effect sensor ICs that operate through a magnetic field and are used to respond to alternating north and south poles, or only to the south poles.
The 103SR series Hall-effect sensors are available in digital unipolar, latching, and linear magnet types with a variety of sensitivities to meet the needs of different customer applications. The 103SR Series digital Hall-effect position sensors provide a stable output over a temperature range of -40°C to 100°C [-40°F to 212°F] and feature a 20 mA current sink output capability that can be used from a 4.5 Vdc to 24 Vdc DC power supply. The linear sensor has an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C [-40°F to 257°F] and a supply voltage range of 4.5 Vdc to 10.5 Vdc.
The standard open-collector current sink output (digital) or push-pull output (linear) of the 103SR Series Hall-effect position sensors can be easily interfaced with general-purpose electronic circuits such as microprocessors, integrated logic devices, discrete transistors, and SCRs with compatible voltage specifications.
