Introduction: Rosemount/Rosemount Eight-Channel Gas Ultrasonic Flowmeter 3418, the new Rosemount 3418 Eight-Channel Ultrasonic Flowmeter is manufactured, developed, and engineered by Emerson to deliver high accuracy and best-in-class performance with the high functionality required by precision legal-for-trade users. The 3418 flow meter integrates two crossed, four-channel (BG mode) meters in one flow meter body. It has a zigzag channel layout to effectively eliminate the influence of eddy current and stream flow caused by flow state disturbances in metering. The 3418 flowmeter received an OIML accuracy class of 0.5 in the first 5D configuration without rectifier.
Features:
No rectifier is required to save on compression and pumping costs, and eliminate the need for maintenance due to clogging
The high turndown ratio of > 100:1 ensures fewer metering loops and reduces investment costs by choosing small-bore flow meters
The 3410 Series electronics provide fast sampling, a scalable electronic platform, and detailed archived data logging with pressure, temperature, and gas composition information, so the flow meter can act as a redundant flow computer
The 3410 Series electronics calculate corrected volumetric, mass, and energy flows
The T-200 sensor can be safely extracted under pressure without special tools (up to 106.7 cm (42 inches) in diameter)
With the new Smart Meter Self-Verification Essentials now included in the latest 3410 electronic component firmware update, the time previously spent on data analysis and troubleshooting has been significantly reduced
