Many of the problems that may arise from the failure of the industrial computer of the CNC cutting machine are caused by the working environment, and the common ones are as follows:

1. The industrial computer has a long working time. Due to the demand for normal production, the industrial control system of some factories requires long-term operation, which brings huge testing to the industrial computer operation system. According to Microsoft's operating system operation time statement, Microsoft claims that its operating system after Windows 2000 can support long-term operations, but from the perspective of practical operations, after the operation time exceeds one week, the disk will accumulate a lot of data fragments in the process of huge data exchange, which will briefly form disk logical bad sectors, read and write errors, and slow down system operations and startups. Therefore, under the condition that the IPC is promised, the IPC can be restarted regularly and the disk fragments can be cleaned up to reduce the disk errors caused by long-term operation. The restart time can be determined by the amount of data processed by the industrial computer and the production status, it is not rigid, and readers need to explore it slowly. Judging from the practical experience of Wuhan Pilot CNC, restarting and cleaning up an industrial computer in a standardized month (30 days) can reduce the probability of disk errors.

2. The internal temperature of the industrial computer is too high. In an environment that requires long-term high-temperature work, computer components are prone to aging, and the frequency of hard disk faults is also higher. This requires the CNC cutting machine operators of the factory to pay close attention to the temperature of the chassis, and try to keep the temperature of the industrial computer between 10-30 degrees Celsius, too high and too low temperature are not suitable for the maintenance of the hard disk, if the temperature of the chassis reaches 30 degrees Celsius, the temperature of the internal hard disk will reach 40 degrees or higher. We can briefly transform our industrial computer to achieve the effect of lowering the ambient temperature.

(1) Replace the high-power CPU and hard disk fan (the hard disk fan should be fixed and should not be installed on the hard disk firmware rack to prevent the hard disk from causing a sensation due to the rotation of the fan) to speed up heat dissipation.

(2) Install an electric fan inside the chassis to exhaust air to the outside of the chassis to increase air convection;

(3) On the cabinet where the industrial computer is placed, a small axial fan is installed;

(4) Install air conditioning in the control room to reduce the temperature of the space.

3. The ambient humidity is not suitable. Industrial computers are mainly composed of integrated circuits of many electronic components, and their insulation function is very related to the ambient humidity. If the humidity is too high, the circuit board will be short-circuited and burned; If the humidity is too low, static electricity will be generated slightly, and some electronic components will also break down. Therefore, too much humidity and too little humidity will bring potential threats to the industrial computer. The problem of electrostatic protection requires us to have excellent grounding on > industrial computer. It is worth clarifying that the grounding electrode of the industrial computer is different from the lightning protection grounding on the civil engineering, the grounding electrode site should be three meters away from the control room, and the galvanized angle steel is used as the vertical direct electrode at 1700mm under the outdoor floor, and the number of grounding meets the grounding resistance of less than 1 ohm (the shake meter test should be applied when backfilling), and then 40×40×4 galvanized flat steel is used to reliably weld the grounding body (each welding point should also be carefully anti-rust treatment), and the 25mm copper cable is transferred to the building to the system ground terminal and the industrial computer connection address. This can effectively reduce the damage caused by static electricity.

4. The ground tremor is greatly felt. In the production of machinery manufacturing plants, due to the physical displacement actions such as drag and sensation, not only brings huge noise, but also brings huge damage to industrial computer disks, optical drives, and floppy drives when the equipment is operated. In many data exchanges in the automatic control system, the long-term and high-speed operation of the disk, due to the sensation transmitted to the disk, leads to the decline of disk read and write ability, slow head positioning, and even disk damage, thus reducing the sensation of the industrial computer environment and is conducive to the maintenance of the disk. When we are in engineering, we can keep the industrial computer away from the operation site with a large epicenter as much as possible; If the job address cannot be changed, we can also place sponges and bufferable objects under the industrial control cabinet and box to reduce the damage caused by the sensation.

5. There are many inhalable particles in the air. Most of the raw materials in many factories require powder for processing, coupled with the large flow of air outside and a lot of sand and dust, a lot of sticky dust is simply accumulated in the industrial computer, resulting in excessive local temperature in the industrial computer and hardware damage. This situation mostly occurs around cooling fans such as CPUs, power supplies, hard disks, and graphics cards. In the local area where the dust accumulation is light, under the condition of normal production, you can choose to blow the dust regularly. In the local area where the dust accumulation is severe, you can install dust filter gauze at the ventilation place of the industrial control case and clean it regularly.

6. The power supply voltage fluctuates greatly and is prone to power failure. With the rapid development of industry and life, the demand for electricity is also increasing, and many areas have a lack of power supply, unstable voltage, and easy power outages. Voltage instability and sudden power failure, the formation of frequent restart of the system, the system file is also briefly lost, and can not be started normally; The head that is performing the reading and writing action sometimes causes the head to return to the forbidden position due to power failure, which causes the disk problem of the industrial computer. Therefore, the stability of the power supply in the working environment of the industrial computer is related to the normal operation of the industrial computer. We can choose stabilized power supply and UPS uninterruptible power supply for maintenance, and the specific equipment selection should be determined according to the size of the load power and the amount of operation time that needs to be maintained.

All in all, most of the working environments faced by CNC cutting machines are relatively harsh environments.
