The new base plate has been developed and upgraded according to the technical parameters of the Dark Horse system, and is specially adapted to the HIMax safety system. In addition to their comprehensive functionality, these baseplates also offer the look and feel of the Dark Horse System baseplates for use in non-risk areas. The new product range masks all signal types and provides customers with a common solution that meets the requirements of a wide range of plants.

In addition, the analog baseplate is equipped with a HART connector, which can be easily accessed even if the baseplate is already installed and wired. The innovative transformation of the main controller can also be completed. This is because the corresponding analogue modules support HART communication and the HART signals can be smoothly processed by the safety system.
The new baseplate series masks all signal types. Commonly used signals from the safe zone – analog inputs and digital inputs and outputs – are available in single and dual channel backplanes. A single-channel backplane with an analogue output signal completes the entire product range.
The signal distribution base ensures that the input signals are transmitted to the control side of the HIMA system. Tension spring terminals can be used for wiring as an option. Once the customer has selected the safety-related control system from HIMA, they can use another conventional control system that does not require a specific manufacturer.
The pre-configured system cables and base plates of the H series ensure that the system wiring between the field device and the automation control terminal meets safety standards. This simplifies commissioning and reduces the amount of manual wiring. The isolated barrier can be installed on the base plate without any tools and can even be replaced while the system is running. The coded latch prevents the module from being misplaced and ensures that safety-relevant parameters are followed. The power module is redundant and fixed by the backplane.
The barrier base plate can be mounted on a 35 mm DIN rail, which can be mounted horizontally or directly in the control cabinet. Signals from risk areas are transmitted directly to the barrier baseplate, which has no terminals of its own. When replacing a module, no additional wiring and circuit checking are required. This saves time and money for planning, wiring and documentation, and maximizes equipment utilization.
The base plates for the system manufacturer are tested in the original control system and can be supplied with the relevant test reports.
