principle
When working, we must first use our fingers or other objects to touch the contact screen installed on the front of the display, and then the system will locate and select the information input according to the icon or menu orientation that the finger touches.
The main types of contact screens
According to the operating principle of the contact screen and the medium of transmitting information: resistive type, infrared type, surface acoustic wave type, capacitive induction type.
Resistive contact screen: The screen part is a multi-composite film that matches the appearance of the display, which is coated with a layer of glass or plexiglass as the bottom layer, and the surface is coated with a transparent conductive layer.
It is covered with a layer of hardened, smooth and scratch-resistant plastic layer, and its inner and outer surface is also coated with a transparent conductive layer, and there are many fine (less than thousandth of an inch) transparent barrier points between the two conductive layers to isolate them

Types and applications of resistive contact screens

Exterior sonic contact screen:
The contact part of the external acoustic contact screen can be mounted in front of a CRT, LED, LCD or other dimple display screen with a flat, spherical or cylindrical glass tablet. This glass flat plate is just a simple tempered glass, which is different from other types of contact screen skills in that there is no film and overlay. The upper left and lower right corners of the glass screen are fixed with vertical and horizontal ultrasonic emission transducers, and in the upper right corner, two corresponding ultrasonic receiving transducers are fixed.
The four perimeters of the glass screen are engraved with 45-degree angles ranging from sparse to densely spaced reflective stripes.
Operating principle: the transmitter transducer converts the electrical signal sent by the controller through the contact screen cable into sound wave energy to the left surface, and then reflects the sound wave energy into an upward uniform surface by the group of fine reflection stripes at the bottom of the glass plate, and the sound wave energy is transmitted through the surface of the screen, and then the reflection stripes on the upper side are gathered into a line to the right to propagate to the X-axis receiving transducer, and the receiving transducer turns the external sound wave energy back into an electrical signal.

Capacitive contact screen
The structure of the capacitive contact screen is mainly to coat the glass screen with a layer of transparent film and then put a piece of maintenance glass on the outside of the conductor layer, and the double glass design can thoroughly maintain the conductor layer and the sensor. In addition, the attached contact screen is plated with slender electrodes on all four sides to create a low-voltage alternating current field in the conductive body. When the user touches the screen, because the electric field of the human body, the finger and the conductor layer will form a coupling capacitance, the current announced by the four electrodes will flow to the contact, and its strength is proportional to the separation between the finger and the electrode, and the controller located in the secret of the contact screen will calculate the share and strength of the current to accurately calculate the direction of the contact point.
Infrared contact screen: inexpensive, simple to install, can better sense light contact and fast contact. However, because the infrared contact screen relies on infrared sensing action, changes in external light, such as sunlight and indoor spotlights, will affect its accuracy. And the infrared contact screen is not waterproof and afraid of dirt, any subtle foreign objects will cause errors, affect its function, and are not suitable for outdoor and public use.
