02 pain points

In 2018, a supplier of automotive central control screens needed to complete the design and production of an automated assembly line for two automotive central control screens of a new energy vehicle within 3 months to ensure the requirements of the automobile for product shipments, consistency and quality. The automobile factory investigated some mainstream auto parts manufacturers at that time, and found that most of the automated production lines adopted two modes: either manual production lines, or XYZ Cartesian coordinate robot production lines built with linear modules or linear modules; Therefore, in the early stages of the project, users prefer to use mods. Elite and the integrator analyzed the production process of the automotive central control screen, and found that the project involved the detection of screen components, pressing, screw locking of the circuit motherboard and shell, screen function testing, and assembly of the back shell, etc., and the process flow was complex and highly coupled. If the traditional module method is used, although the production process can be realized, it can no longer be well adapted to the future production needs, so the automation solution with robots as the core is recommended to the customer. Integrators recognize the technologically forward-looking label of the robot solution and believe that the advanced automated production concept can bring a good demonstration effect to their end users. However, as a traditional production enterprise, integrators still have concerns: one is cost; the second is whether the accuracy and beat of production can meet the requirements; The third is whether the project cycle can be met.

03 Solution

The advantages of this scheme are very obvious: the loading part that may be in contact with the operator and the space is tight is deployed with an upside-down collaborative robot, which is compact and human-machine is co-lined; The barcode reading of incoming materials, assembly inspection, and screw tightening stations, the robot operation only needs to be operated on a flat surface, and the cycle time requirements are high, which are performed by the SCARA robot; The handling and assembly of materials at different stations is carried out by high-speed industrial six-axis robots.

04 Results
