In the 2000 Casappa plan, the original factory was expanded, adding another 5,000 square meters to the original base, expanding the production capacity of the factory, doubling the production capacity of the factory, and making fundamental changes in the production process.

Casappa has launched a number of businesses with two objectives: to develop an international large machinery and equipment manufacturer, to rationalize production and increase production capacity. With the start of the first phase of the expansion of the Parma plant (5,000 square meters), the plant will be completed in November 2001 with an investment of about 8 billion lira. One of the total investment plans implemented by Casappa in 1999 was the expansion of the production sector.

The assembly, testing and packaging of the products will be transferred to the new facility. It will be the beginning of an update that involves all production processes. In the production process, the development of Casapa is inseparable from the combination of state-of-the-art design and control technology. Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC) has achieved initial results in terms of time and quality of the design process with a CAD/CAE/CAM system. The CAM project has also been implemented in the production department, where they use new design tools to control the machine and integrate it with the technical department in a more reliable way. Casapa's development plan will include additional staff and training programs, including most of its collaborators.

In 2001, Casappa will produce 480,000 hydraulic pumps and engines, a machine shop that manufactures complete hydraulic pumps and engines, which are essential components of mobile industrial machine circuits. In 2000, it had a turnover of 43.58 million euros (16.8% more than in 1999), of which 65% was exports, with 235 employees. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounted to EUR 7.98 million, compared to EUR 6.57 in 1999.
