In his opening speech, Professor Li Zeyuan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, academician of the United Kingdom Academy of Engineering, expressed his gratitude to Mr. Zheng Chonghua, founder and honorary boss of Delta Group, for his support and outstanding contributions to the scientific research and development trend of China's power electronics technology colleges and universities over the past 20 years. I believe that China's power electronics technology is playing a very important role in the world today, and China will play a leading role in the world in 10 years. In view of the changes in the energy mix, current research on power electronics technology will focus on the development and design of renewable resource technologies. According to the total energy consumption output of power projects in the world in 2012, a 1% increase in electromagnetic energy efficiency is equivalent to saving the total annual power generation capacity of the two Three Gorges Dams (80TWH/yr); By 2050, the overall power energy requirement will increase by a factor of eight, and every 1% increase in efficiency is equivalent to saving the total power generation capacity of the 16 Three Gorges Dams. Focusing on increasing the energy consumption level by 1% should be something that can be guaranteed by the authoritative experts and scholars here within 1-2 years.
Mr. Zheng Chonghua, the founder and honorary president of Delta, paid attention to the vigorous development trend of China's power electronics discipline in the past 20 years, which is inseparable from the long-term and silent perseverance of the teachers who have made unremitting scientific research and cultivated people, as well as the students who have worked hard to study and train. Delta's Chief Executive Officer and Mr. Delta's Operations Veteran also shared with everyone the development trend and reasonable layout of Delta's power electronics technology. He stressed that from the perspective of new trends, whether it is in population growth, excellent consumer electronic equipment transformation, Internet technology and other technological innovations, these have put forward great improvements to the requirements of power engineering, which means that the application of power electronics technology will be more and more. He believes that the core technology to deal with the problems of electric energy, natural environment and resources relies on the high frequency, high power consumption, high efficiency and high reliability of digital power electronics. In the future, Delta's control system will develop in four directions, including industrial production in the 10,000-kilowatt range, miniaturization of MHz modules, technology of power electronics based on new components such as carbon-carbon polymer materials (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN), and intelligent practical operation of power electronics systems. In the development trend of the work, it is mainly the rational layout of the four major power electronics technology related manufacturing industries: transportation and mobility, the whole industrial chain of the Internet of Things (IoT), intelligent manufacturing system, system software and intelligent system, and microgrid. Li Yaohua, an expert and professor from the Institute of Welders of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, shared the new development trend of high-power modular power supply with the guests on "modular design of multi-pulse signal SPWM and its application". Professor Li Yaohua introduced in detail the key scientific research work carried out at the level of multi-pulse signal SPWM (MMC) in the modular design of welders of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, including several innovative ability scientific research on power engineering electronic transformers, flexible DC transmission, power engineering transmission systems and their railway line power supply systems, etc., and also emphasized the problems and challenges in them; In addition, we have a future outlook to match the future development trend of MMC power supply circuits used in high-voltage power places, including components, topologies, and new application sites.
