The so-called inclination angle is a relative orientation with reference to the horizontal line and the vertical axis. Changes in orientation can be monitored quickly and precisely by means of inclination sensors. The acceleration of gravity is a parameter measured by the sensor. This measurement principle is equivalent to using a plumb line to produce a change of direction in a gravitational field. Turck's inclination sensors are based on the principle of micro-electromechanical systems. The production center is an electromechanical capacitive sensor component, which contains two horizontal capacitance sheets. A capacitance sheet contains two capacitive conduction plates. If the DC voltage of the two lamellars is applied, then they charge until the electrode voltage is equal to the DC voltage. After this operation, the capacitor voltage is divided with the direct current. The capacitance is obtained by dividing the two voltages.
Turck's inclination sensors use a common intermediate pole piece to form a micromechanical pendulum. If the orientation of the perpendicular line changes due to the action of the sensor, the middle pole piece will adjust its orientation, and the capacitance of the conduction sheet will change. The middle pole piece is planned as an elastic pendulum. The sensor operation is like the tension spring quality system, which is made of micron-wide silicon strips and the main part is also made of silicon. After the tension spring support part is dislocated from the reference electrode under the effect of acceleration and tilting, the change in capacitance is measured.
In addition to the high quality of the measurement equipment, the packaging of exploration signals and electronic components also plays a crucial role in the reliable operation of inclination sensors. The repeatability of the sensor can reach 0.1% of the measurement range, and the resolution is 0.05°, which fully meets the highest high accuracy requirements. The sensor reaches IP68 protection. It can be operated for 24 hours at temperatures from -25 to 70°C, 7 days under water, and 10 temperature cycles. Ease of operation and handling are as important as the robustness of the sensor and the robust housing. The 20mm wide Q20L60 series and the cube-shaped Q42 series can be well used in utility vehicles, agricultural machinery, industrial crane skills and industrialization skills. The Q20L60 sensor has two mounting holes on the diagonal and two through holes on the edge of the Q42 for easy installation. Turck's inclination sensors respond quickly and are pressure-resistant.

Advantages and disadvantages of capacitive sensors – Turck
Advantages of capacitive sensors
1. Good temperature stability
The capacitance value of capacitive sensors is generally independent of the electrode data, which is conducive to the selection of data with low temperature coefficient, and has little impact on stability due to its own small heat generation. The resistance sensor has copper loss, which is easy to heat up.
