GPIO=General Purpose Input Output. GPIO port is an important concept, users can interact with hardware through GPIO port (such as UART), control hardware operations (such as LEDs, buzzers, etc.), read hardware operation status signals (such as abort signals), etc. GPIO port is widely used in industrial computers, is a kind of bus extender, can provide rated control and monitoring functions, for data acquisition and drive control use, so it is divided into DI (digital input), DO (digital output).

                               The use of IPC GPIO interface - EVOC

1. GPIO is used for switch control, which is the most common application scenario.

It is generally used to control the LED light switch, and through the software code, the GPIO port pull up function is called when the light needs to be turned on, and the GPIO pull down function is called when the light needs to be turned off, and the control can be completed.

2. Button detection and input abort signal

Key detection, in fact, is also what we often refer to as abort. Switch and abort between high and low levels. Generally, the default condition of the GPIO port is low, when the key is pressed, it is pulled to a high level, and about this high or low level, the system can actively detect and make corresponding judgments about this level. For example, when the key is pressed, the system detects a high level, and the GPIO will actively stop. When the key is released, the GPIO port detects that the voltage returns to a low level, and it is judged that the button is released.

3. High-end applications of GPIO

In addition to simple input and output, GPIOs can also do some relatively messy operations, such as analog I2C or SPI data lines, ADC voltage detection, output PWM waveforms, etc.
