Valves can be used to manipulate various types of fluids such as air, water, steam, various corrosive media, slurries, oils, liquid metals and radioactive media. Valves are also divided into cast iron valves, cast steel valves, stainless steel valves (201, 304, 316, etc.), chromium-molybdenum steel valves, chrome-molybdenum-vanadium steel valves, duplex steel valves, plastic valves, non-standard customized and other valve raw materials.
1. Gate valve
Gate valve, also known as gate valve, is a widely used valve. Its closing principle is that the sealing surface of the ram and the sealing surface of the valve seat are highly smooth and consistent, and they fit each other, which can block the flow of the medium, and rely on the mold shape of the top die, spring or ram to enhance the sealing effect. It plays a primary role in the pipeline.
Its advantages are: small fluid resistance, easy opening and closing, can be used in the case of two-way movement of the medium, no directionality, the sealing surface is not easy to erode when fully opened, the structure length is short, not only suitable for small valves, but also suitable for large valves.

The globe valve, also known as the cut-off door, is the most widely used valve, it is widely popular, because the friction between the sealing surfaces in the opening and closing process is small, it is more durable, the opening height is not large, the production is simple, the repair is convenient, not only suitable for medium and low pressure, but also suitable for high pressure.
Its closing principle is to rely on the pressure of the valve lever to make the sealing surface of the disc and the sealing surface of the valve seat fit tightly, and obstruct the flow of medium.
The shut-off valve only allows the medium to move in one direction, and is directional when installed. Its structural length is larger than that of the gate valve, and the fluid resistance is large, and the sealing reliability is not strong during long-term operation.
There are three types of globe valves: straight-through, right-angle and direct-flow inclined globe valves.
3. Butterfly valve
The butterfly valve is also called the butterfly valve, and its key components are just like a butterfly facing the wind, spinning freely.
The disc of the butterfly valve is a disc that rotates around an axis in the valve seat, and the size of the swing angle is the degree of opening and closing of the valve.
The butterfly valve has the characteristics of lightweight, more material-saving than other valves, simple structure, quick opening and closing, can be used for blocking and throttling, small fluid resistance, and labor-saving operation. Butterfly valves, which can be made into large diameters. Where butterfly valves can be used, it is better not to make gate valves, because butterfly valves are more economical than gate valves, and they are better regulated. At present, butterfly valves are widely used in hot water pipelines.
Fourth, plug valve
The plug valve relies on the plug body to rotate around the center line of the valve body to achieve the purpose of opening and closing. Its effect is to intercept, divide the fields and change the direction of the medium flow. The structure is simple, the overall size is small, the operation only needs to rotate 90 degrees, and the fluid resistance is not large. Its disadvantages are that the switch is hard, the sealing surface is simple to wear, and it is simply stuck at high temperature, which is not suitable for adjusting the flow rate.
