Honeywell/Honeywell N360X Series 2D Scan Engines

The N360X Series 2D barcode scan engine is an ultra-compact, non-decodeable 2D imager designed for use with mobile devices. The N360X Series is the result of Honeywell's extensive experience in successful decoding and hardware performance, making it an enhanced device that is easier to integrate and adapts to compact mobile device designs. Parallel or MIPI interfaces are available to help simplify integration into mobile devices that require interfaces to both the latest and legacy processors. The volume (8.1 mm [0.32 in] high x 10.8 mm [0.43 in] deep) is among the smallest in its class. Reduced size frees up more space to integrate other technologies. The N360X Series doesn't compromise on performance. Based on a 1 Mpx rolling shutter sensor, the N360X series has an 80% wider read range than traditional VGA sensor imagers, with 100% EAN (typical read range) at a distance of 541 mm [21.3 in]. Its new sensor reads higher-resolution barcodes (Code 39 1D barcodes down to 3 mils), and the white LED illumination system enhances image capture and readability of color barcodes. The N360X series is equipped with a high-definition green LED dot sight (N3601) for customer-facing applications and medical applications; Or pair it with a slim, bright laser targeting system (N3603) that reads multiple barcodes in close proximity to each other to improve visibility in low- or high-light environments. Wide operating temperature range (-20°C to 50°C [-4°F to 122°F]) for scalability to harsher applications; Lower power consumption (152 mA to 170 mA typical at 3.3 V) extends battery life on a single charge. Compatible with Honeywell's N660X Series and N670X high-performance 2D imagers, it uses the same connectors as the scan engines in both series, reducing integration time, design cost, and increasing design flexibility and choice. The N670X is even slimmer than the N360X series, and both series are suitable for mounting into compact enclosures. This means that customers can be offered two different levels of barcode scanning performance without the need for housing adjustments or additional accessory design.
