Recently, the national key research and development plan - "development of key skills and application channels of industrial robot middleware" has passed the strict test of Kaiyun Lianchuang (Beijing) Evaluation Center, marking a breakthrough in the development of "middleware" skills in the field of robotics in China. The project was led by Jiangsu Jereh Technology Group Co., Ltd., and completed with the cooperation of Shanghai Xinshida Robot Co., Ltd., Hunan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhejiang University, the 716th Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Group Corporation, Yunnan Kunzhou Shipbuilding Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., and Lianyungang Jereh Deep Soft Technology Co., Ltd.
How to use industrial robot middleware skills to integrate distributed heterogeneous resources, reduce system coupling, and improve the openness and intelligence level of its control system is a bottleneck problem that needs to be solved urgently for the development of industrial robot industry.
In order to solve the above problems, the "middleware" skill came into being, aiming to develop an industrial robot middleware and its application channels according to the service-oriented architecture to complete the transparent interaction and distribution collaboration of the robot cyber-physical system. Using the "middleware" skill, heterogeneous robots of multiple brands and different systems can complete the seamless collaboration of cross-channel and cross-system design, development, commissioning, and layout, which greatly saves the time required for the integration and layout of the production line in the early stage of the industrial site.
Together, the "middleware" skill framework has a strong component ecosystem, which can standardize various component interfaces and provide common algorithm components in industrial fields, such as visual processing, track planning, protocol conversion, etc., to facilitate the integration and application of underlying hardware manufacturers. In addition, according to the design concept of the bus, the real-time transparent interaction and real-time monitoring of data in the production process of the robot are completed. The no-code orchestration service that supports the function of the robot greatly reduces the programming work of developers in the layout of the production line, and quickly improves the intelligent level of the production line and slows down the production and manufacturing power.
According to the "middleware" channel, Shanghai Xinshida Robot Co., Ltd., Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Zhejiang University jointly arranged the visual assembly workstation and stamping production line, completed the fast, flexible and light code integration of the production line, and greatly improved the customer's intelligent level and slowed down the production power. In addition, the "middleware" technology has also been put into use in the production lines of Jereh, Kunchuan and other enterprises, such as ship welding, wall climbing spraying, and AGV intelligent parking. It is foreseeable that in the near future, "middleware" skills will help China's manufacturing to develop by leaps and bounds from China's manufacturing to China's intelligent manufacturing.
