The new ETS 175L and the upgraded ETS 250L are the first models of the ETS L series for use in large chillers and heat pumps. The ETS 175L and ETS 250L electronic expansion valves are carefully planned to achieve higher differential pressure opening, easy operation and protection, good refrigerant compatibility, and compatibility with low- to medium-density hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) blends, including A2L refrigerants.
The easy-to-protect planning eliminates the need to remove the valve body from the system during repairs, and the flow curve is available in a linear or S-shaped curve, allowing the system to be optimized according to the OEM's needs. In the case of R134a, it can supply 233 to 307 TR (822 to 1081 kW) of cooling.
The ETS L series will also be updated with the upgraded ETS 400L and the new ETS 550L. In the first quarter of 2022, Danfoss will also introduce models for oil-free systems and high-temperature use. With these new additions, we will gradually expand our product portfolio (ETS 100C – ETS 800P) to meet a wider range of uses. Danfoss EEV expansion components include the new EKF stepper motor driver (single or two valves) and the EKE 2U backup power module for increased reliability.
At the same time, Danfoss has been certified and tested to recognize the potential of the miniature ETS 5M electronic expansion valve. In the case of R410A refrigerant, for example, the ETS 5M has a cooling capacity of 2 to 6 TR (8 to 21 kW), providing a wider range of product options for small equipment manufacturers.
The ETS 5M has been thoroughly tested and proven to be resistant to vibration and shock in transport and highly reliable at low ambient temperatures.
These new features enable the ETS 5M to be used in a wide range of refrigeration, air harmonic, and heat pump systems, including air and ground source domestic heat pumps, electric bus air conditioning systems, and freezers.
