MVR is an abbreviation for Mechanical VaporRecompression. MVR is an energy-saving skill that uses the energy of its own secondary steam from scratch and then reduces the need for external power. This article takes INVT's Goodrive5000 series high-voltage vector inverter as an example to introduce it in detail in the field application of a customer's MVR system.
The theoretical basis of MVR is Boyle's law: V= k/p, i.e. PV/T=K. The meaning is that the pressure ×volume/temperature = constant of a certain mass of gas, which means that when the volume of the gas decreases and the pressure increases, the temperature of the gas will also increase. According to this principle, when the thin secondary steam becomes smaller after being compressed, its temperature will rise and the pressure will rise, and then the low-temperature and low-pressure steam will be changed to high-temperature and high-pressure steam, and then it can be used as a heat source to reheat the stock solution that needs to be transpiran, and then achieve the intention of being able to circulate and recover the used steam. The role of MVR is to improve the grade of steam, not to create energy. Because steam tightening is done by a mechanical compressor, it is called MVR (Mechanical Vapor Recompression). MVR is to compress the secondary steam (which cannot be used due to low temperature and pressure) in the process of transpiration (distillation) with a compressor, improve its temperature and pressure, and enter the heat exchanger from scratch as a heat source to heat the material that needs to be transpiran. In this way, the secondary steam that was originally to be discarded was fully used to replace the fresh steam, and the cooling tower was completely abandoned, which greatly reduced the operating costs, and truly achieved environmental protection, energy saving, water saving, and cost saving.
