The In-Sight 8000 compresses a complete, self-contained vision system into a fraction of the space that is the size of a traditional camera's image acquisition. All In-Sight 8000 models come with the In-Sight nonlinear calibration tool, which can be mounted at angles up to 45 degrees. These vision systems are ideal for installation in tight spaces for robots and in hard-to-reach equipment on production lines.

Specific tools include pattern matching (PatMax Redline, PatMax, and PatFind), filtering (grayscale values and colors), color tools (color recognition, true color extraction, color histograms), defect detection (surface defects, Flex Flaw, edge detection), and ID (PowerGrid, Hotbars, character recognition).
