Danfoss announced that it has received all necessary regulatory approvals and is subject to closing conditions to formally complete the US$3.3 billion (approximately €3 billion) acquisition of Eaton's hydraulics business, which will expand the Danfoss Group's business plan by one-third and become a global leader in mobile and industrial hydraulics.
For more than 50 years, mobile hydraulics has been one of Danfoss' core and most successful areas. The acquisition of Eaton Hydraulics is an important part of Danfoss' growth strategy. Eaton Hydraulics will merge with Danfoss Power Solutions, bringing approximately 10,000 new members to the Danfoss team worldwide and $1.8 billion (€1.5 billion) in sales (2020 figures). The smooth merger of the two organizations will allow Danfoss Power Solutions to multiply its business planning and innovation capabilities.
The strengthened Danfoss Power Solutions division will feature the broadest range of mobile and industrial hydraulic products and solutions on the market, as well as a full range of fluid transfer systems. The company's distribution channels will also be significantly enhanced, the local use support will be greatly improved, and the scope of geographical coverage will be further expanded. These strengths will enable Danfoss Power Solutions to serve existing and new customers as a stronger technology partner, as well as lead the way in digitalization and electrification.
