Introduction: KEYENCE/KEYENCE Flow Sensor FD-M Series The FD-M Series uses Faraday's law to determine the flow rate of conductive liquids. A typical electromagnetic flow sensor uses electrodes that are in contact with the liquid inside the test tube to detect the electromotive force of the liquid. The FD-M series uses electrostatic capacitance to measure the flow rate outside the pipe.
