The revolutionary 917X series of high-precision dry metering furnaces
Dry well furnaces were the early* traditional on-site heat source. The uncertainty of the dry metering furnace developed by Fluke* is much smaller than that of the dry well furnace. The lower the uncertainty, the more capable the customer will be of calibrating the sensor with higher accuracy. By using an external reference probe, uncertainty can be greatly improved.
Dry metering furnaces provide near-bath performance, but do not require expensive bath liquids. Dry metering furnaces reach predetermined temperature points and stabilize 5 to 10 times faster than baths, saving technicians time and increasing verification speed.
The portability of the dry metering furnace allows it to be calibrated on site, thus solving the difficulty of transporting the thermostatic bath.
* New technology
The 917X series of high-precision dry metering furnaces** uses two-stage temperature control technology. It is difficult to achieve uniform temperature field in the axial (vertical) direction of a conventional furnace, and the closer you get to the furnace mouth, the greater the temperature change. The so-called two-stage temperature control is a two-way temperature control in the vertical direction, and this new analog and digital control technology provides stability of up to ±0.005 °C. Moreover, with the two-stage temperature control technology, the uniformity of the axial direction (vertical) can be ±0.02 °C in the 60 mm area. This is a breakthrough in nature. At present, only this series of products in the world can achieve this accuracy. And such superior performance cannot be achieved except in the liquid thermostatic bath.
