The SDX series sensors provide a cost-effective solution for pressure applications that require small size and high performance. These calibrated and temperature-compensated sensors provide accurate and stable output over a temperature range of 0°C to 50°C [32°F to 122°F]. This series is intended for use in non-corrosive and non-ionic working fluids such as air and dry gases.

The unit can be used to measure absolute and gauge pressures ranging from 1 psi (SDX01) to 100 psi (SDX100). The absolute voltage type device is equipped with an internal vacuum reference value, and the output voltage is proportional to the absolute voltage.

SDX sensors are available in standard commercial grade and premium grade (SDXxxxyy-A) to achieve optimal accuracy and cost in any given application.

The SDX unit features integrated circuit (IC) sensor elements and laser-corrected thick-film ceramics in a compact, solvent-resistant housing. The package is a double-width (i.e., 0.600-inch lead pitch) dual in-line (DIP) package. This type of package is commonly used by IC manufacturers, but it is only 11.94 mm [0.470 in] long and has a pressure interface. Each DIP uses a printed circuit board (PCB) area of approximately 0.26 in x 0.26 in. Due to this extremely small size, multiple sensors can be used in a limited amount of available space. DIP provides superior corrosion resistance and isolates external package stresses.

DIPs are mounted on a printed circuit board (PCB), like a standard IC with through-hole pins. The pins attach the pressure sensor to a printed circuit board (PCB), providing a safer and more stable device than other package types. The output of the bridge is proportional to the supply voltage, and any operation that does not exceed a Vdc supply voltage of 20 Vdc is acceptable.
