Heat sinks are one of the top sources of noise in industrial computers. The more advanced and newer the industrial computer, the more complex the internal processor structure and the greater the heating. Therefore, the rationality of the heat sink design is related to whether the industrial computer can operate stably.
We all know that the internal hardware temperature of the industrial computer is too high, and the system will be unstable, which directly leads to the failure of the industrial computer to operate normally, aging or even early obsolescence, so how to improve this problem?
1. Reduce the noise of the radiator
1. Silent radiator
The principle of the silent radiator is to add the fan speed, speed up the airflow, add the fan diameter, widen the air duct, add the wind area of the radiator, and add the fan diameter. Perhaps, the sector shape of the radiator could be optimized, and the drainage design could be applied to avoid the flow of ambient air rather than forcing air to flow.
2. Integration of radiator and chassis
Outside "cold" air passes through the various accessories of the industrial computer and is drawn in by the radiators at the front of the case and the radiators on both sides of the case. Eventually, part of the CPU's hot air is exhausted from the heatsink behind the chassis, and the other part is exhausted through the power heatsink. This design can increase the air volume of the radiator, improve the speed, effectively dissipate heat, reduce the noise of the radiator, and prolong the service life of the machine.
2. Speed control
The primary policy of heatsink fans is to meet the heat dissipation requirements of high-end high-load processors, but in practice, most of them use low-to-medium load and mid-range mainstream processors, and do not need to use the maximum speed to supply the maximum airflow, so many manufacturers will manipulate the speed to reduce the noise of the heatsink.
Nowadays, the use of industrial computers is becoming more and more extensive. Basically, all professions are involved. Noise industrial computers do not meet the needs of some users. Now it has been replaced one by one by the embedded fanless industrial computer.
