1. The industrial computer "crashes" due to hardware reasons

Reason analysis: When the industrial computer processes too many on-site signals transmitted by the PLC, the CPU frequency of the industrial computer is low and the memory is small, so it is impossible to identify and process so many signals together, which makes these signals "crash" and form the "crash" of the industrial computer.

Solution: Due to the limitation of the memory module slot of the IPC motherboard, the memory can only be expanded to 64M. The primary way to deal with this is to reduce the frequency of the industrial computer to process and identify the on-site signal to prevent the signal from "crashing". When dust enters the industrial computer, various electronic components such as boards and CPUs have poor heat dissipation, resulting in the "crash" of the industrial computer.

Solution: Regularly remove the dust inside the industrial computer and insist on good ventilation.

4. Check the CPU fan and the host power fan

This kind of problem is not the same as the "crash" phenomenon mentioned above. The reason for the problem is caused by information blocking, because the lower computer "crashes" or the transmission signal network cable and network card have problems, resulting in the upper computer can not receive the signal, in fact, the upper computer does not "crash". This problem occurred in early November 2001, because the network cable and the network card were not in good contact, resulting in the upper computer being unable to supervise and control the lower computer.

Solution: When the screen of the upper computer presents a "dark shadow", first check the working status of the lower computer, there are various error indicators on the CPU template of S7-400PLC, and you can operate according to the status of the indicators. If the PLC "freezes", rebooting the PLC's CPU with the key will restore it to normal. If there is a problem with the network cable and network card, the operator should immediately check whether the signal cable plug of the upper and lower computer has poor contact, and gently press or swing each plug by hand, it is very likely to find out the problem.

8. It is recommended that the industrial computer be upgraded

At present, after the above measures, the number of "crashes" of industrial computers has been greatly reduced. However, because the hardware configuration of the upper computer is low, the software operation and control system version is also low, and the processing speed of the upper computer is still slow, it is recommended to upgrade to the industrial computer and add CPU frequency, memory capacity and hard disk capacity.
