Introduction: The Rosemount/Rosemount non-glass ISFET pH sensor TF396 features an ion-sensitive field-effect transistor (ISFET) pH electrode for stable pH measurements. Its reaction rate is ten times faster than that of glass electrodes, enabling better process control. Its short response time and high stability in low-temperature environments make it ideal for cold processing such as brine or water refrigeration. The effects of aging caused by temperature fluctuations or large changes in process pH are greatly reduced, extending the interval between sensor calibration and maintenance. The non-glass design of the sensor can be used in many applications where the use of pH glass electrodes is limited or prohibited due to concerns about glass breaking into the process.
