Launched high-power type
When using a conventional* reflective sensor that inspects with light intensity, the detection may be unstable due to the color or surface condition of the workpiece. The distance-setting LR-Z series solves this problem. Stable inspection is possible regardless of the type and condition of the workpiece. The high-power type (LR-ZH type) has been added to further expand the range of applications.
Stable detection is also desirable for work that is difficult to detect with reflective types (ferrous metal, metallic, transparent)

This innovative feature expands the detection capabilities of the LR-ZB250AN/ZB250AP sensor. I-DATUM combines detection-based distance stability with sensitivity of received light intensity. By using a stable background as a datum, I-DATUM can reliably detect transparent and translucent targets by recognizing small changes in the amount of received light returning to the sensor.
Rugged & long life
The LR-Z's SUS316L stainless steel body won't be damaged even if it's too tight or subjected to impact from tools or other equipment, so there's no need for an additional protective cover. In addition, the heavy-duty body features a NEMA and IP-rated enclosure that is highly resistant to oils, acids, and alkaline cleaners for use in harsh environments.
Simplify operations
The LR-Z is designed to provide reliable and simple operation for everyone. Large indicator lights ensure excellent visibility over long distances. Simplify operation with the addition of a digital 7-segment display and one-touch teach-in. Easily set the sensitivity while monitoring whether the digital display is working properly. The LR-Z is also equipped with a keylock function to prevent accidental changes.
