Introduction: The A-Series modular smart control valve is characterized by a wide range of types, compact design and lightweight, with MF pneumatic multi-spring membrane actuator and ARCAPRO 827 or SEP2000 rugged and ductless, shockproof digital positioner. We can optionally install a handwheel for emergency use in case of a malfunction. The seat of these valves is designed to be reversible and the spool can be quickly replaced, extending the life of the valve.
The simple geometry of the seat allows us to choose more economical materials such as hardened stainless steel, Stellite overlay, silicon carbide, tungsten carbide, etc. There are soft and hard seals to choose from. In contrast to conventional construction, the PTFE-soft seat sealing element of this type of valve consists of an O-ring spool embedded in the seat groove. This ensures that the PTFE sealing element is not damaged by excessive impulses.
This unique interchangeable, inserted design (shown in the picture) differs significantly from conventional threaded screw-in designs in terms of mounting and sealing. In conventional construction, the valve body and seat are thread-sealed, and there is a small angle between the contact surfaces, so that in theory, only the line is in contact. Different structures and operating conditions require different seat tightening torques. In the ECOTROL series of control valves, the seat sealing is done purely by axial sealing, and the initial pressure method is used to rule out the possibility of overload.
The self-centering task of the valve seat is completed by the fixing part (sleeve), and the upper bonnet transmits part of the pressure acting on the valve body to the valve seat through the sleeve, so that the valve seat and the valve body fit more closely. We use a dedicated CNC machining center to process and configure the seat and spool, so that the gap between the sleeve and the seat is very small, so that the force on the seat is very uniform, so it is easy to achieve self-correction. In this way, the required pressure of the seal is guaranteed in any case. Thanks to the action of two proprietary guide sleeves that are spaced widely, the stem will be better guided.
