CHINT PV has provided support for the 50 MW photovoltaic + energy storage integrated energy demonstration project in Shigatse, Tibet.

　　The project is located in Jiangdang Modern Ecological Industry Demonstration Park, Shigatse City, covering an area of about 1,600 acres, with a total investment of about 450 million yuan and an estimated annual power generation capacity of 100 million kilowatt hours. Under the warm sunshine in winter, more than 1,000 acres of solar photovoltaic panel arrays are magnificent, and the super charging treasure composed of 40 lithium iron phosphate battery systems is charging and storing energy, and the 50 MW photovoltaic + energy storage integrated energy demonstration project in Shigatse City has been successfully connected to the grid for power generation, and the CHINT energy storage system products used in the project integrate 2040kWh batteries and 250kW PCS into 45-foot containers, integrated design, and improve efficiency and safety.

With a total investment of 450 million yuan, the project is currently the largest photovoltaic + energy storage demonstration project in Tibet, and it is also the first comprehensive energy project in the region to be connected to the grid for power generation, laying a good foundation for the construction of a high-proportion new energy demonstration city in Shigatse.

The total area of the project is about 1,600 acres, and the construction is equipped with a 50 MW photovoltaic system and a 100 MWh energy storage system, with an annual power generation capacity of 100 million kWh and an annual saving of 30,600 tons of standard coal. The project contributes at least 5 million yuan in tax revenue to Shigatse City every year, and employs more than 300 people during the construction period. At the same time, the land transfer of the project can increase the annual increase of more than 300,000 yuan for the locals and relocated people. The project transportation is of great practical significance for optimizing the power supply structure of Shigatse, improving the power guarantee capacity, promoting the development of the clean energy industry, consolidating the achievements of poverty alleviation, and comprehensively promoting rural revitalization.
