FX3U-232-BD Introduction: Mitsubishi base, used in the FX3 series of six communication modules, for use with the FX3U PLC. The ADP module is mounted on the left side of the base unit, while the BD module snaps into the left front corner of the base unit. The RS232 interface can be used for a variety of applications, such as communicating with a PC, printer, or barcode reader, while the RS422 interface provides another programming port that allows simultaneous connection of the operator panel (HMI) and programming PC. The RS 485 interface allows for the formation of FX PLC networks and provides a simple connection to a Mitsubishi inverter drive using built-in protocol commands. The ADP module is mounted on the left side of the FX3U base unit and requires one of the following modules to connect to the PLC: FX3U-232-BD (539-0869), FX3U-422-BD (539-0875), FX3U-485-BD (539-0881), FX3U-USB-BD (539-0897), FX3U-CNV-BD (539-0904) Up to two ADP communication modules or one ADP and one BD communication module can be installed to the base unit at the same time. The PLC base unit provides the supply voltage. The Mitsubishi FX3UFX3UCPU is compatible with existing FX2N expansion modules and new FX3UADP expansion modules, and can be used as a replacement for FX2NPLC.
