E+H/EndershouseFounded in 1953 and headquartered in Switzerland, Endress+Hauser (E+H) is a global leader in process automation. As one of the founders of level measurement technology, E+H has always been driving the development of the global process automation industry with advanced technology, excellent management and unique products.

On February 1, 1953, Switzerland engineer Georg H. Endress and Germany banker Ludwig Hauser founded L. Brown in Lrrach, Germany. Hauser KG – the predecessor of today's Endress+Hauser GmbH

The company began by selling a new United Kingdom capacitive level sensor, which today we can call the Garage Company, although its original office was converted from a bedroom.

The new sensor was an immediate success, and the company's two founders quickly began to build their own production facilities, and sales have continued to grow ever since. At this time, the sales scope has expanded from the early mainly concentrated in southern Germany to the whole of Germany and neighboring countries. They began to sell level sensors with different principles other than capacitive ones. Later, products in other measurement fields were developed, produced and sold, such as pressure, flow, temperature, etc. Sales and service began throughout Western Europe, and in the 70s of the 20th century the first overseas offices were established in the United States and Japan.

In the 80s of the 20th century, the company began to devote itself to the challenges of microelectronics technology and achieved a technological leading edge. The shift from signal-oriented to information-oriented process automation has led E+H to be actively involved in the development of different fieldbus protocols, and today it is one of the world's leaders in this field.
