Fluke/Fluke 1625-2 GEO Grounding Tester

Fluke Ground Tester The Fluke 1625-2 Ground Tester measures ground loop resistance using only the jaws. To use this measurement method, two jaws are clamped to a ground rod, each of which is connected to the tester. There is no need to use grounding piles at all. One of the jaws should have a known fixed voltage, and the other jaw measures the current. The tester then automatically determines the resistance of the ground rod. This test method is only suitable if there is a grounding system in the building or structure being tested, but this is true in most cases. If there is only one path to ground, as is the case in many residential applications, and the pileless test method does not provide an acceptable value, the potential drop test method must be used.

With stakeless testing, there is no need to disconnect the grounding rod – just maintain the integrity of the bonded grounding system during the test. It is now no longer necessary to spend time placing and attaching the ground rods on the system, which saves a lot of time. You can also perform grounding tests in locations you haven't considered before, including inside buildings, cable towers, or anywhere you don't have access to the land.
