The MicroScanner2 Cable Inspector innovatively improves audio, data, and video cable testing. It starts with results from four test modes and displays all of the following on the same screen—graphical wiring diagrams, pair lengths, distance to the point of failure, cable IDs, and far-end devices. And, its integrated RJ11, RJ45, and coax test ports support virtually any type of low-voltage cable testing without the need for a clunky adapter. The end result is a reduction in testing time and technical errors, resulting in a high-quality installation that is more efficient than before.
Quickly troubleshoot service issues
Today's communications technologists have a lot of issues to deal with, not just cable issues. Before determining the cause of the connection problem, it is important to rule out possible cable and service issues. Is there a telephone voltage? What is polarity? Is there an Ethernet switch on the far end? Is PoE available? The MicroScanner2 confirms these issues, giving technicians a powerful perspective that allows them to detect audio, data, and video service issues that are common today. This means faster, more comprehensive troubleshooting. For ease of use, the tool uses ratchet control and is equipped with a recessed flat cable scissor and wire stripper.
